The right rear cylinder on my 2011 Cameo is leaking oil. Called Quadra and they’re sending me a new one no charge except shipping. My question is, have any of you changed one of these and how difficult would it be in an RV park. I’m thinking that It might be better to call a mobile repair company. Any thoughts?

It’s not hard to change out the cylinder but you will need somewhere to bleed the system. Here is the way to do it. You can either jack up the fifth wheel or the easiest way is if you have somewhere to back it up by a ledge where the cylinder can extend all the way down.

        Chip

        BLEEDING AIR FROM LINES

UPON COMPLETION OF SYSTEM INSTALLATION, BUT BEFORE PROGRAMMING THE SENSOR, THE AIR MUST BE PURGED OUT OF THE LINES AND CYLINDERS FOR PROPER OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM.
        • Raise the vehicle off of the ground far enough to fully extend the cylinders without touching the ground
(Use a hydraulic hoist or drive onto ramps)
        • Fully extend each cylinder until you hear the pump motor strain. Achieve full extension without feet
        touching the ground.

        • Leave all levelers fully extended for 15 minutes.

        • Fully retract cylinders and check fluid level, using the manual retractor feature. If necessary, fill reservoir
to measure 3⁄4” from the top.

        •Repeat process as necessary.

Not hard. I had to replace my right front. The O-Ring was split which would have eventually caused leakage. Just take your time and be sure everything is tight. Because I had to replace the front, I had to clear away the black silicone from the under cavity to remove it, then reapply new silicone when complete. You will need a impact wrench to remove the foot from the piston. Be sure you have that and the correct socket before you start. A hand wrench won’t do it.
