We want to put a 5.0 cubic foot freezer in the off door slide on our 2008 32sb2. It will be a temporary install for our trip to Alaska and will be used to freeze salmon for the trip back to Florida. The total weight will be around 190 pounds (when full). We will remove the sofa (never use it anyway) and replace it with the freezer. My concern is the weight concentrated in a small area. Has anyone tried this or do you think it will cause problems? I am open to all thoughts on this. Thanks in advance for your input.

My fat butt is about 190 pounds sitting in the off side slide, so it’s fine while stationary. But is it an issue operating the slide with weight on it?

If you removed the couch and moved the table and chairs to that spot then put the freezer where the table was, you would have more of the weight over the axles rather than being in the rear.

Not familiar with SB2, but could you toss the sofa as planned and move your recliners from the rear wall area to where the sofa is now, and place the freezer against the back wall where the recliners are now?
