- Noticed hydraulic fluid stain on the outside of the fluid casing. Removed the cover and don’t see any leaks while moving the jacks. The reservoir is still 80% full. I made a mark on the reservoir so I can check for loss of fluid. Anything I should do right away? Is the access through the zipper floor?Posted: 5:24 PM – Jun 09, 2016Each of your 4 jacks is total self contained. Only the front jacks are concealed inside the front storage area. Otherwise, there are no fluid lines running throughout the rig for the jacks – just the 12v wires to power the pumps.
I have see some fluid on mine but its never been an issue. Make sure anytime you check the fluid that the jacks are FULLY retracted. If you add fluid when the jacks are extended, you will have a big mess of fluid. The only thing that the zipper access panels are supposed to be for is the access the slid motors. BTW, I really like your model for its length. Sometimes wish we would have gotten it instead of its larger sibling.Posted: 6:11 PM – Jun 09, 2016When our Cameo was new I saw some oil stains on the covers. Big Foot sent me some blue replacements caps to replace the red caps. Didn’t help and the next time we traveled to Michigan I stopped by the Big Foot factory. They said the rear tanks had been over filled and removed some, solve the problem. In Carriages’ case they assembled the Big Foot systems in their factory and just put to much fluid in the reservoir.Posted: 6:47 PM – Jun 09, 2016Yes it’s one of the rear stabilizers. There’s some fluid on the reservoir casing. Hopefully it’s just over full. I really like the shorter length. We almost bought a 37rl but I’m happy – I’ve driven into a few situations where we needed the small size to get out! Although I’m missing a few nice features of the larger rigs – 7000 lb axles rather than 8000 and no double pane windows.Posted: 10:52 PM – Jun 25, 2016Contact Quadra Manufacturing – http://www.thebigfootleveler.com/. We thought we had a hydraulic leak and it turned out the reservoir was too full. They drained and refilled the reservoir at no charge.B.W.Gentry
