- We have a 2015 Lifestyle and was surprised when the ceiling vents could not be closed. The bathroom is like a meat locker. A couple of questions, what have other people done? Can the vents be easily changed our with ones that can be closed? If they can’t be replaced any bright ideas on covering them?Posted: 1:26 AM – Mar 29, 2015Someone had a thread on here about this earlier. I can’t search now, but I think that these:

are a direct replacement.

I replaced ours due the noise they made in comparison to the ones in the link. Plus the directional control and ability to adjust or close the flow. Phillip

Phillip,
do you remember the size and color. I’m thinking either the 1 1/8″ or 1 and 1/2″ extension and the light beige for color.
Posted: 9:11 AM – Mar 31, 2015How easy is it to replace the vents, do they just pull out? Light beige looks like the color but am also wondering about the length of the extension.Posted: 11:02 AM – Mar 31, 2015bobinraymoremo wrote:How easy is it to replace the vents, do they just pull out? Adding this info will help you get more specific replies to any questions you post.
I have a Lifestyle 37cksl. The ceiling vents are probably the same as other model Lifestyles, but am not sure. On mine, to remove the vent first grab the ring for the louver around the edges and pull down. It is only snapped into place with the larger ring mounted to the ceiling. After you remove the louver ring you see 3 screws that hold the larger ring to the ceiling. Remove those screws and the outer ring & you’ll be able to check measurements easily.Posted: 4:40 PM – Mar 31, 2015Once you pop off the louvered part, you can measure the hole diameter close enough to ensure that it is the required 5-7/8″. If it is, I believe that you should be able to pop the new rings in without even removing the screwed in mounting rings. The depth shouldn’t matter. It’s been a while since I looked, but on mine, the mounting ring sticks up a little higher than the ceiling. When I do my replacement, I may get shorter mounting rings just to reduce any restrictions on airflow.Cliff
Posted: 2:47 PM – Apr 01, 2015some measurements i took today of the vents in the trailer:– ceiling surface up to bottom of air ductwork is 1.5″
– diameter of raw hole in ceiling (i.e. no vent at all) is 6″ (maybe slightly less – 1/16″ ish)
– diameter of hole in collar that’s screwed to the ceiling is 5 1/2″. This is the collar the louvered vent piece snaps into.
