- Many of the dual pane windows on our 2011 35SB3 have failed this year. Some are just the awning portions and some the entire window. Hehr will be shipping replacements to me when we get home in the spring. They are providing the windows at their cost but I will have to replace them at my cost. I would like to replace them myself and save the $100 an hour that my dealer would charge. Is there anyone out there who has done this? If so, are there any surprises? The person at Hehr told me that some rivets would have to be drilled out and replaced but didn’t know which ones. Any knowledge would be appreciated.Posted: 6:05 PM – Dec 29, 2012Many of the dual pane windows on our 2011 35SB3 have failed this year.
This wasn’t what you asked, but can you describe the failures you are experiencing?
Posted: 7:39 PM – Dec 29, 2012I replaced the lower dual pane vent window. Hehr provided me a 1 page instruction sheet, but yes, it involves drilling out two rivets. It took about 30 minutes, but would be shorter next time. I had two others go, all being within the dining room window, and the dealer replaced for me, saying it took 45 minutes.
Seems a number of us with 2011 models had issues with the dual panes? I posted a photo of the dining room window in the member photo albums.

The seal between the two panes of glass fails and the window fogs up.Posted: 1:35 PM – Jan 01, 2013For the vent windows, my recollection is that the rivets are 3/16″. I used stainless rivets, but awful tough to metal to break the stem offPosted: 4:30 PM – Jan 01, 2013I drilled out the rivets and replaced them with some short screws and nuts.
