- A number of the light bulbs in our “new” Lifestyle have blown since we purchased it in October and it has been a hassle to find replacements. Does anyone know if there is a listing of bulbs for the Lifestyle? Right now I am looking for a replacement bulb for the mini pendants over our kitchen island. They are number 921, 12 volt, 18 watt with a dark silver coating. We found one that fits at Home Depot but they are clear without the coating and my wife (the boss) does not like them as well.Posted: 4:06 PM – Mar 11, 2014Check online at 1000bulbs.com. They have a wide selection of 12v lamps and their prices are competitive.Posted: 4:30 PM – Mar 11, 2014921 is a common bulb (Walmart, NAPA, etc.), but I can’t say I’ve seen one with that coating. Amazon is also worth a shot and I found this link at $7 for a 2 pack:Posted: 4:50 PM – Mar 11, 2014Another related question. I have just been told that the coating which I thought came from the manufacturer on the 921 halogen bulb is actually from degradation of the filament and that is probably why I haven;t been able to find anything to match the one that did not burn out. Are they all clear to begin with? If so, then they must need to be replaced in pairs so as to match brightness. I will be seriously looking at LED replacements if this is true.Posted: 7:47 PM – Mar 11, 2014delrob, the “coating” you’re probably looking at is from the installers handling the bulbs. Make sure you don’t touch the bulbs with your fingers. Use a dry cloth…Posted: 10:13 AM – Mar 12, 2014Are they clear when new?Posted: 2:12 PM – Mar 12, 2014Yes they are clear when new. I just replace the bulbs over my Island with two from the lights on the wall and an 18w bulb from Homie Depot. Same light.
