- We have a 2004 Carri Lite with a Sharp microwave/convection unit. It quit in the middle of a baking cycle Saturday and will not power back up. Does anyone know how to remove the unit? I would like to take it out and have a service tech look at it. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in as well as checking the breaker but it still does not work.Posted: 1:16 PM – Jul 25, 2016There are likely 1 or 2 long bolts that secure it in front and/or on the sides. Once you unscrew those, it should flip down. A bracket probably holds it at the rear. If it is original, 12 yrs of service is pretty damn good. A tech looking at it could cost more money than it is worth.Posted: 2:27 PM – Jul 25, 2016I would Google the model number trying to get an install manual. Then work in reverse.Posted: 2:40 PM – Jul 25, 2016Give you a heads up, if you take it out it weighs over 80 LBSPosted: 10:37 AM – Jul 29, 2016Thanks for the suggestions.Posted: 2:26 PM – Jul 29, 2016It could be just the fuse inside the unit. Here is a google search for how to replace fuse in sharp convection microwave.

Unfortunately after trying a couple of different settings it tripped a breaker and after resetting and a couple of more cycles the fuse blew. Heading out for a replacement unit today.B.W.Gentry
