Having low water pressure in the trailer. 50 lbs in the incoming water line and still low pressure, inside. The kitchen faucet was the lowest. I was looking for a way to fix things. The whole house water filter came to mind. At Jamestown Distributors I found a replacement 3M Model B3 it is bigger, (longer), than the B2, and allows more water to flow, 3.5 gpm. Now inside water flow is find. Only draw back the water filter is not cheap, $183.69. The B2 wasn’t cheap last time I got one of them.

To lengthen the life of our 3M filter we added a pre-filter to the line. It’s one of those blue inline filters that you see at RV stores, seem to help. You’re right they are a bit pricey.

You paid too much for the filter. The B3 is much cheaper at JMS on line. Here is a link to them. they are $ 111.33 from them.

        Bob,
You didnt say what model and year your rig is. I found out on mine that the problem is not low pressure but low flow caused by the restrictive built in pressure regulator. A connector without the built in reg helps a lot. Also the stock kitchen faucet is very much below par. A new Delta replacement helps here too.

Full timer is correct on all fronts, especially a bad restricted valve in the utility closet. However, you may help the kitchen sink pressure by cleaning or replacing it’s aerator. I swapped out for a Delta brushed steel pullout faucet and used the sprayer hole for a soap dispenser.

Also, at Home Depot or Lowes you can get a 6 Inc diameter by 12 Inc tall whole house filter that drops zero psi, even when using the charcoal filter. I rigged mine so I fill my holding tank via that filter (and a water softener). That took a bit of plumbing. Shore supply is treated the similarly, but was a much easier fix.

        Bob,

I am having the same problem, the current city inlet is pretty large and the replacements (without the regulator would not be large enough to cover the holes. Where did you get the replacement inlet.

        Thanks,

        Mark

I have a question for you guys that switched to the 3M B3 water filter.. Does it install the same as the B2 ?? Push up and twist ?? looking at the picture of the B3 on their website it has a black “T” type attachment on top that looks like the water lines hook to, can you remove that ??
        Thanks

I am planning of getting rid of the stock pressure regulator for the same reasons also. Does anybody that has done this have any suggestions or pictures/processes for this? Thanks for all the help in advance.

I use a 3M HF90 water filter. Replace it about once a year. Have no flow problems. We full time with washer that runs almost every day, clean out black tank water is filtered too.
