We heard a mouse in our heater floor register. We put a endoscope camera down into it and found a couple of holes. How do we go about gaining access and repair the holes?

Most ducts originate at the furnace that is behind the rear black walls in the main basement storage area. After the walls were down, i crawled all the way back to the garbage can in the kitchen – close enough to duct tape most rear ducts. But that was several years ago.
