      Hi,

We are thinking about getting a washer and dryer for our Lifestyle since we are using it a lot while working away from home. Just left a campground that did not have a laundromat so having a W/D in the rig would have been nice to have.

My question is if you have a dryer in the closet at the steps which is part of the full wall slide where did you have it vented.  Kinda scary thought about cutting a hole in the slide wall !

We think our rig originally had a W/D as we found manuals for a spendide w/d with all the books and paperwork . But there is no vent anywhere that we have found.

I’m also considering the ventless combo unit to save space. Have heard they take a long time to dry though.

      Thanks !

Not a big fan of ventless W/D combo’s (they take for every to do 2 or 3 pieces of laundry), I believe in earlier post some one did a separate W/D in that closet.  Vent should not be an issue, just look at the wall you want to cut when there is condensation on it and mark the studs.  You will need a vent sized to the wall thickness.  Just tape the area you want to cut and start the hole with the cutting head in reverse.  I sure someone else will chime in.

We have the combo vented version. My wife likes it now that she’s figured out how to use it. We had it installed when we bought the unit so the dealer installed it. I looked at doing it myself but due to weight was not going to tackle it. The vent was not as much an issue as the drain pan underneath it. All is well no issues at this point.

Just make sure you measure twice and cut once!

Yep always measure twice and cut once !  I found a combo unit on Amazon with pretty good reviews that can be vented or used as ventless. This one may work for us. Doing some more research before we buy. They are kinda pricey
