Hello, we have two Cameo’s 2008.

Both units had similar issues with slides are not opening or closing and were able to fix our slide out issues by rebuilding the motor housing.

Here is our video – https://youtu.be/L3FKuN5jUKs

Thanks for Dale and Gwen from http://www.rvecafe.com for initial steps in troubleshooting!

If you need help with rebuilding that specific motor housing, we have materials and drawings how to do it again.

My understanding that the original motor manufacturing was purchased by some German parts company and then shutdown.

No new motors are possible …

To everyone, Where you can get a Adacel slide motor.

What I believe to be true today is: RBW Industries Inc was bought by a company currently known as AL-KO AXIS, INC. in 2008. From the above posts I went to leisurervparts.com and received a call back from a Tech who stated that AL-KO is now closed. Leisure RV Parts is the only US provider of original Adacel slide motors. They are Fed-ex’ing me an exact match at the same price I paid years ago to RDW but without the gear. That is break assemble, motor and gear reduction assemble for $379.00 and $26.00 for shipping. Yes the gears are $150.00. There are no old ones around from the old RDW stock. The Tech said the gears need to be machined in USA as a new product. Years ago I had AL-KO send me a gear for free because they put the wrong one on the motor I ordered, those days are gone.

I deleted my original request for help. Today I can’t find the post that pointed me to Leisure RV Parts but they are the answer today!

        Thank you to all,

        Fran

Daryle, I would be interested in any information about the motor’s mounting, making it better. I don’t seem to be able to direct message you.
