- I have a 39fb and have 2 white hoses hanging down behind the wheels on the driver’s side. One has a shut off and the other is just a hose, that is the hose the water is coming from. Its fresh water and this is the first time I’ve seen it. It’s not a fast leak and started over night. I’m in northern part of Florida and it has gotten down to 30 degrees at night for a short time.
Thank you for all the wisdom that you have on this forum, I have learned so much.Posted: 9:35 AM – Jan 26, 2016The hoses you see are most likely the low point drains for the fresh water lines and the water tank. There is also another line similar to that that drains any spill over into the city water hook up bay. However, since you say these lines are BEHIND the rear wheels, that’s a bit puzzling to me. All those lines on my LS36fw are forward, street side. If indeed these are the low point drains, check at the access point (behind a wall or access door) for the valve to make sure its completely closed. Good luck, PhillipPosted: 10:50 AM – Jan 26, 2016Thanks Phillip
i attached a photo dont know if it will work. But you are right the water is coming from the over flow from my fresh water tank. I had it on city water but the tanked fulled up. It must of slowly fulled up for the past 5 days while we were here.Posted: 11:41 AM – Jan 26, 2016They look like overflow lines if it doesn’t have a shutoff. Most overflow lines are at the rear wheels for the freshwater tank. My other two were located there. The one with a shutoff I’m not sure. Most low point drains are capped off and have blue and red Pex lines to them. I haven’t picked up my 39FB yet how do you like it.Posted: 11:50 AM – Jan 26, 2016If your water tank is filling up when you are hooked up to city water the check valve in your water pump probably is not working properly allowing water to pass through the pump into your fresh water tank. You can have the valve replaced in the pump or you can add a check valve in the water line itself.Posted: 11:58 AM – Jan 26, 2016I did see on here where someone had this problem and took the check valve out and cleaned it out. Apparently someone said they drilled the opening for the indicators and some plastic got stuck in the check valve? Worth a shotPosted: 12:21 PM – Jan 26, 2016I have had this problem with the water tank filling on former Cameo AND the LS. I have never had it happen unless I accidentally and even momentarily turned on the water pump WHILE connected to city water. Otherwise I never have had this issue. It will correct itself once disconnected from city water and stays that unless the pump is turned on again while connected to city water. PhillipPosted: 8:44 AM – Jan 29, 2016Phillip you were correct on the fresh water tank value correcting itself. Once the fresh water tank was emptied, (3 loads of clothes and 2 long hot showers) the value closed itself and has not filled back up. We have been here in St Augustine for 2 days on city water with no issues.
Thanks againPosted: 9:56 AM – Jan 29, 2016BBA5464 wrote:Phillip you were correct on the fresh water tank value correcting itself. Thanks againGlad that worked for you. Enjoy St Augustine. Lived there for 12 years but up in JAX, Beach, now. Probably move back down there when we retire. Enjoy.

When we are on shore water I just make sure the valve is on the off position and I do not get any back flow. When I plan to use just the pump, and am not connected to water, I just open the valve. This way I don’t have to play with check valves. I also had a check valve explode and got water all over the place. When hooked up to shore water I do have a pressure valve before the intake set at 60 psi.
