- Has anyone had this piece of crap removed and replaced with a real water heater? If so what size water heater did you get and where did you get it done? This tankless heater cannot be adjusted to take a shower without burning your skin off or freezing. Is there a reason Lifestyle went with these things? Was it a weight issue on the slideout? I want it gone so I can have a normal shower. Any advise.
Thanks
Posted: 9:39 AM – May 16, 2017You may want to look at Truma tankless (has a small tank) heaters.Posted: 9:51 AM – May 16, 2017Have seen various other complaints on the web about the same. Not sure if a regular WH would fit or not. Likely need to measure and see where all the fittings would be. I’m in agreement with BCBackroads on the Truma. Check out the http://www.rv-dreams.com/ They were given one to test and I think they like it. Don’t have one myself but have thought of upgrading in the future.Posted: 6:30 AM – May 17, 2017Partimewages do you have the tankless or do you have a water heater? What size water heater do you have?Posted: 8:53 AM – May 17, 2017We have the SW12DEL. Suburban 12 gallon propane electric. Here is a link to one.

We do run out of hot water from time to time unless we pay attention. If we were full time I would upgrade to the Truma.Posted: 7:23 AM – May 21, 2017Is there anyone out there that has changed the tankless to a tank water heater and if so where did you get it done?Posted: 10:52 AM – May 21, 2017Cathy and Paula – check out Forest River Cedar Creek forums, as Cedar Creek has installed them as standard equipment for a year or so. I believe I read of at least one conversion back to a tank model.Rick
