I am getting ready to have RV Roofing Pros redo the roof on my 2009 Carri-Lite 36Max1, and found a crack in the outer layer of my bathroom 22 X14 skylight.
My desire was to replace with a Maxxfan deluxe 5100 that I have on the shelf. (have 2)
I was going to put 1 in the bathroom and 1 in the shower. A little overkill but pulling the moist air out of the shower directly seems prudent.
But I am unable to find anything built that covers the larger area of the skylight and allows a clean install of the 14 x 14 fan. I know, a couple of 6 in pieces of plexiglass on each side is probably the easiest, but this all seems to make a simple re-install difficult.Does anyone know of an adaptor like I am describing?
The more I type, the more I think I will just find a quality dual-layer 22×14 skylight (25×17 outside)
I think the MaxxFan in the bathroom will both be enough vent for the bathroom and much easier to push the buttons rather than step in the shower to turn on and off.
I am putting a Maxxair deluxe 7500 in the kitchen area for it is too tall to manually adjust.
I see the existing Fantastic fan with thermostat has only 3 wires going to the roof and the MaxxFan wired remote needs RJ45 (4 pair 8 wires). I call the factory and they stated you only need 6 of the wires to operate the new fan, but were unable to inform me which 6.
Has anyone run wire from the door to the center of kitchen roof? Probably harder than I think (GRIN).
Thanks,
Jack
