- I have a 2015 Lifestyle, I was looking for battery drain and I notice that I can operate the big foot with the battery disconnect off, should that be.Posted: 7:39 PM – Aug 27, 2017My 2014 LS is that way. Don’t know what kind of drain it places on the battery, however.Posted: 8:37 PM – Aug 27, 2017Mine operates that way as well. That being said, I agree that I do not think that it causes any drain when it is not on.

Bigfoot is high amp direct battery connection with its own fuse or 12 volt circuit breaker depending upon year.32Cameo wrote:I have a 2015 Lifestyle, I was looking for battery drain and I notice that I can operate the big foot with the battery disconnect off, should that be.Posted: 8:10 AM – Aug 28, 2017There are several things that might drain a battery. If you only have one battery I could see it draining down over a month or so without any charge on it.Posted: 8:46 AM – Aug 28, 2017The big foot will draw no power until you turn the controller on. That will draw very little power, and will turn itself off after a few minutes of non- use.Is your antenna booster left on? Or a cell phone charger/power adapter left plugged into it?
Or a light inside a storage compartment left on?
If you have an inverter, is it turned off?
Other than the CO meter, there really isn’t anything else that should draw power, even with power disconnect “connected.”
You might check to see if your CO meter light goes off when you “disconnect” power disconnect.
If battery ever dried out, or ever let dead, dead, dead, it will drain much faster with no load or a tiny load.
They now make smart solar trickle chargers for cars and trucks. Perfect for winter storage where there is a bit of sunlight and, if in a snowy area, enough occasional heat to melt snow off the panel.
Or just a new battery.
