- I have a 2014 LifeStyle 37 with 17,000 lb jacks on the front. The drivers side creeps up over 6 to 8 hrs. It makes a snapping sound that can be heard in the coach. There are no leaks evident. I have tightened the hydraulic hoses and it made no difference. Any ideas?Posted: 11:30 AM – Jun 22, 2017My unit made this noise for awhile, and I feared the hydraulics were creeping back. But after measuring and finding the difference in height to be minuscule or perhaps no movement, I just let it ride. Eventually it stopped. I read all manner of things on the internet about needing to put an additive in the hydraulic fluid (atf), needing to switch to some other high dollar fluid, etc. Fortunately I ignored all of that advice. I would suggest you measure the ram after auto leveling and see if you are really getting any significant withdrawal of the hydraulic ram. If not, consider that it may not be the ram itself moving but some sort of tension settling out, maybe even where the Bigfoot mounts to the frame. If I remember correctly I called Bigfoot and they had me check a few things, and told me it would not be a common occurrence for the hydraulics to creep back in unless there was a leak somewhere. It was a popping noise we were getting and yes it was quite unsettling for fear something was going horribly wrong with the Bigfoot.
Have you measured the ram periodically after the time you auto level to see if it is in fact retracting?
