- My bigfoot system was the main reason I wanted a newer rv. Now that I have one I am nothing but frustrated with it. After replacing the control panel and front sensor I am now having a bad sensor message after running the auto level. I have tried everything to get rid of the message but it wont go away. I unplugged the control panel and sensor, put on the old control panel and it keeps beeping and giving the message. I am stuck without a way to hook to the truck and leave. Very frustrated, help.

Posted: 7:51 PM – Mar 20, 2017I suggest you contact Quadra BigFoot Mfg. They’re always more than willing to help with issues. They have a 24 – 7 Service & Help number. 1-800-752-9815Posted: 8:21 AM – Mar 21, 2017Have you tried emergency retract? Without understanding the exact situation its hard to say, but if you are up at least high enough to hitch up, if emergency retract works, that might get you going.Posted: 12:01 PM – Mar 21, 2017kgeorge wrote:My bigfoot system was the main reason I wanted a newer rv. You say you unplugged the panel and sensor but did you try to disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes to reset the system? You can also try to reprogram the system. Yours is newer and probably different than mine so look in your manual to see how to do this or go to the Quadra website and download your manual for instructions. Here is how mine is done from my manual
FIFTH WHEEL REPROGRAMMING
SIX EASY STEPS
• With two front levelers on the ground, turn panel on. Wait for the lights to stop circling.
• After lights stop, press the REAR button (10) ten times. At this time, all the lights will start to flash on the
panel.
• You are now able to manually level the unit by pressing each individual button. Example:
FRONT = Right Front, RIGHT = Right Rear, REAR = Left Rear, LEFT = Left Front
• When the unit is level, press RETRACT (3) three times. This will store the new setting as LEVEL.
• After pressing RETRACT (3) three times, let the Air Dump Light stop blinking. At this point, the system is
now programmed.
• You will now be able to operate your system as normal.
ChipPosted: 4:13 PM – Mar 21, 2017Thanks for the reply, I will try to unhook the battery cable and see if that works.Posted: 8:14 PM – Mar 23, 2017Do you have a kill switch installed before your Bigfoot unit? Aparently this fixes a lot of bugs. There is another thread specifically about that. Also, if the problem is only with auto level, consider using manual mode. I rarely use auto level. Manual leveling is quick and easy once you get the hang of it.Posted: 11:20 PM – Mar 23, 2017Don’t know if the “kill switch” will solve your issue, however, I’ve had zero issues with mine since installing it. My auto level works perfect everytime, too.B.W.Gentry
