Bigfoot Leveling Leaking Voltage
https://carriage-lifestyle-owners.com/viewtopic.php?f=227&t=3515
Posted: 4:37 PM – May 06, 2017Pulled the Bigfoot jacks off the back today…..road dirt getting into the power units is really bad.It is building up to the point that voltage is leaking across the surface of the relay.
The arrows show where there are spot of green indicating where the voltage had been leaking from and to. We’ll be finding a new spot to put these.
For some reason the image turned when it was uploaded.
The nut on the relay was seized so the wire had to be cut
Be changing the oil too. Suspect there maybe some water in the tank.
Posted: 7:46 PM – May 06, 2017Here is the specs on the relayshttp://www.trombetta.com/products/684-1241-212-detail
+/- $28.00 ….Ebay and Amazon
Posted: 7:56 PM – May 06, 2017Thank for that. Good info. Do you have mud flaps behind the rear wheels? I had them on our Cameo and put them on our LS. They really help a lot in keeping water and road dirt from the pumps and feet.Posted: 8:37 AM – May 07, 2017X2; incredible the difference it makes. NAPA, and I suspect others, sell a 12 inch wide by 18 inch tall mudflap that fits with little trimming. You will find that the wheel well is wood, so a can of undercoating is good to have on hand when you are ready to go. I cleaned mine and let it dry (good time to trim the flap and drill mounting holes), then lightly under coated; let dry again, installed flap; then heavy undercoating.jdpm wrote:Thank for that. Like others, we installed heavy rubber mats off a transport truck and modified to fit the full width of the wheel well – has stood up well the 6 years we have installed them.Posted: 11:21 AM – May 07, 2017Thank you for the mud flap suggestion everyone. There are none on ours but as things are coming apart we can see there are allot of benefits to having them.
Behind the Bigfoot Jack.
Between the back cap and the frame.
Allot of work will be needed to insulate and seal the bottom of the trailer. To start with the fiberglass insulation will come out and rigid foam will be glued to the bottom of the floor.
We are thinking about putting all 4 pumps are in the front storage compartment and running hyd lines (+ the limit switch wire) to the back cylinders.
