2-14-2025 The process of documenting this issue, I have discovered the “why” of the problem.

We use the hooks for hanging coats, it is winter and they are heavy. The coat hooks are attached to the mirror and the mirror is attached only to the large plywood sheet at the 4 hooks and the top and bottom center of the mirror. Perfect setup as long as you don’t use it. (GRIN)

The coats hanging on the coat rack are pulling to mirror off.

I measured the wood ½ x ?? piece that is vertical and it starts 12.3 inchs in from the edge (39.12cm) and behind the plywood. I will attach the mirror, top and bottom via the ¾ x 2 ½ trim around it and pull off loads when traveling from now on.

Still need to find a 1in trim piece 101 inches long (yeah sure) probably 3ea 48in pieces, to further strengthen and cover up the pulled staples.

        Hi ramseyjack-

When I had a residential fridge put in we used poplar and stained it to match.  It’s not perfect, but I’m happy with it.  This was 4 years ago and the color has changed a little as my 5th wheel sits in the desert year round.  Outside it was 124 degrees last summer, I don’t even want to think about how hot it was inside.  Everything is still holding together though, impressive for a 2011 Royals.

Thanks for the info on the mirror and good luck with your project.
