Having trouble getting out living room ceiling light on dimmer switch to go off. I have to take out the fuse to keep them off. Do I need to replace the switch?

Sounds like a bad dimmer switch. Best way to know replacement switch is to remove the screws and look at the back side which has a label. Probably from American Technology Components and it is either a 2 wire or a 3 wire switch. Make sure that you get the same configuration.

Ditto on a bad switch unless you are new to this rig or are not certain that the dimmer worked properly at some point.  To work properly immers need positive (battery) in, negative (to fixture) out.  Not the reverse.
