I’m looking for information on the Fifth Airborne coupler. We have a Mor/ryde coupler and IS suspension and have had very good luck with it. We have very little movement with anything while traveling but if the Fifth Airborne can make for a better ride then I’m all for that. I’m mostly interested in someone that had the Mor/ryde and switched over to the FA or any other info that I can get. Thanks in advance.

Recently purchased a Hensley TS3 trailer saver hitch. I thought about the airborne coupler and it would have been less money but it stays with the trailer the hitch does not. I pull a 2010 Cameo F36fws with a Mor/Ryde pin box and I can honestly say the TS3 is great. All the action is on the hitch not the pin. The ride is excellent. I had a B&W Companion b4 and it is a good hitch but the ride with the TS3 is far superior. It will fit in your normal rails. Since I had the B&W I had to buy the adapter rails by curt and they also worked perfectly. Worth every penny. My pin wgt is approx 3600$

Our last trailer had a TrailAir pin and we liked it, some chucking but not bad. When we ordered a Carriage we asked the dealer about the MOR/ryde pin versus the TrailAir and was told the MOR/ryde was standard. We were disappointed and bought a Hensley Trailersaver DB3 20K air hitch. The combination of the MOR/ryde pin and air hitch is a great combination. Add to that your IS to protect the trailer and you’ve got a great combination. The air hitch is a bit pricey. My pin wgt is 2625 you probably would need the bigger TS3 Trailersaver.

I have researched the Hensley TS3 trailer saver hitch and thought due to the 14″ operating height that I wouldn’t be able to use it. The bed on my 4500 Dodge is higher than most pickup trucks and it only squats about 1 1/4″ when hooked up. I have my Curt Q24 in the lowest setting, 13″, and the fiver pin in the upper most position and I’m about 1″ nose high still. I have no more adjustment left. I talked to Arron at Trailersaver and he said he has two different bases for the TS3 with different pivot points and that he could get it down to 13″ but that was the lowest. I just have to make sure I order it this way at time of purchase. Sure would like to see 12″ but I’ll be the same height I’m at now and it works fine so far.

Update. I said my pin wgt was approx 3600# Got weighed yesterday. I am at 3675# If in doubt about the hitch, way not make a trip to the plant in KY. You can then have the opportunity to be sure you are getting the correct base.

Thanks for the info but KY is not in our future at the moment. We are outside of Houston Texas for another month and a half, just had another grand baby about a week ago then we are heading west. After talking with Arron the only option I have is the 1″ shorter base and should work fine with my setup. My pin weight is slightly heaver than yours at 3800 lbs but still way under the 4500 that the TS3 is rated at and will fit in my stock rails.

Congratulations on the new grand baby. Grandkids are great, in fact my next time around I think I will have the grandkids first.

You will love the TS3. It has eliminated the idea of IS for me. You never feel the action of the trailer wheels when you go over bumps expansion joints etc.
