        I installed a Aims 2500 watt inverter in the front storage compartment.  I had a 1500 watt inverter and upgraded to the Aims unit.  I got the idea from Timcar’s post.  I chose the Aims because of the features;

        • 2500 watt continuous
        • 7500 watt surge for 20 seconds 300% surge capability (don’t use the surge mode often)
        • AC direct connect terminal block
        • GFCI outlet
        • Marine coated and protected
        • Multi stage smart charger 85 A
        • LCD or LED remote panel available (LED available in Dec.)
        • Thermal and load based fan
        • Low voltage recovery
        • Power save mode
        • Auto frequency
        • 10msec typical transfer time
        • Optional 25W power save mode
        • 7 battery type settings for charger.

        I wanted to install it in the front storage area but the back wall wouldn’t support the weight.  I added 1 inch square tubing along the back wall to mount the Aims to.  I wished I had a mig welder, I had to use self drilling screws.

        The main reason for the upgrade was to support a residential refridgerator.  My old inverter wouldnt have supported it And future64CDEF94-3560-480B-A9D2-878C6E713D8C.jpegexpansion and the auto switch feature I upgraded to Aims.

        I carry a 10 amp air compressor and the surge feature will start the compressor when I need it.

        The Aims will auto switch between shore power and inverter power.
