My second leak of the day aside from the toilet after pressurizing the plumbing system took out my kitchen faucet.
No leaks beneath sink but when turning water on (hot or cold) it leaks badly from the faucet handle. This is a Single Pedestal Goose Neck single handle operation.
Can I just get a similar replacement at Home Depot/Lowes or is this a specialty RV type of faucet?

I probably have to buy the whole unit. Appreciate any recommendations for new faucet.

Here is a RV faucet that looks like the one you have.

        Hi ZMAN,

Bummer on the plumbing leaks. Don’t know if this will help you but, my best friend has a 2011 Carriage 35sb3 and had a mystery leak from exactly the same faucet handle as you.
In that case it deffenitely was a washer o-ring in that faucet handle assemble. I helped him fix it.
        After replacement no more leak.

Thanks! Dang, that particular faucet is not cheap! But I guess a flood could cost more. I’ll see if its salvageable and then decide to order a new one.

        Zman,

There should be no need to replace the fixture, just install new o rings in the faucet handle assembly I believe the “Pearless” repair kit is the one you need, and it comes with the necessary tools. Old trick, but one of each brand, take your faucet apart, use what you need – some yes there is an oddball o ring that is not in the std set, and either stock, toss or take the rest back.

That said, if you replace the whole set up with a “one hole” pullout you get a hand sprayer out of the deal and no longer have the splash on the counter top from the drop out of the bar style oem fixture. Lots of these pullout look similar, but take a tape measure. I found that the Delta had slightly more reach and slightly more height when I changed mine out 4 years ago. You can install a simple plug where the second oem hole is for the faucet handle, but I bought a matching finish soap dispenser. Depending upon where you go, and they stock different stuff in different stores and chains, they don”t always have the brushed metal so ask if it is just out of stock or if you need to order it.

Thanks a bunch!! After searching on “Peerless faucet repair kit” I came across http://www.durafaucet.com/stainless-ste … ement-kit/
Much cheaper than a whole new unit! After taking the faucet head off found the steel ball was nearly split in half and the white/black washer/o’ring had deteriorated.
Looks like my leaks were caused by improper winterization. I’ll be sure to do a better job next time.
