i had disc brakes installed on my Cameo 3 years ago.  In checking the wear on the pads I noticed that the back of the pads wear faster than the front.  I’ve put about 30,000 miles on since installed.  I will replace the pads.  They do perform 100% better than the drum brakes.  So you should really pull off the caliper to check and not just look at the front pad.

You should look at all pads for wear they should all wear the same, you could have a piston starting to go bad.  If they are not the same then you should consider replacing (or rebuild) that caliper.  You should call the manufacturer of the actuator for correct voltage being sent to the pump.

            MidFlaJim,

help me understand.  How would various voltages cause wear on one pad versus another?

all 4 of my wheels had same indicator as David had.  Hidden pad at each wheel had more wear than the outer than can be observed more readily.  I was right at 34,000 miles and 8 years when I replaced.

I ordered my 2015 Lifestyle with the hydraulic disc brake system.  I have towed over 20,000 miles and think it might be a good idea to replace the pads.  How can I determine a part number for ordering new pads?

I ordered the pads from etrailer.com.  They stock kodiak disk brake parts.  I was unable to find parts anywhere else.  This is what I ordered.  And the back pad wears faster than the front.

So I finally got around to replacing all pads.  The pads on the drivers side, both axles were wore much more than the passenger side.  More so behind the caliper.  The reason being the drivers side is much heavier.  No over or under voltage and the calipers were good.
