This winter I replaced some of the regular incandescent light with LEDs. I have a problem with the light fixture over the table. I turn them on and always one or two of the three will not work. I need to move them just a bit before they will go back on. Is there anyway to get them to seat better? The reading light over the desk works fine, but they are a different kind.
Thanks
Posted: 12:19 PM – Apr 30, 2014I had the same problem with the light over the kitchen table with the regular bulbs that I’m still using. I don’t know how the LED bulbs are constructed but on the regular bulbs you can very carefully bend the wire contacts out a tad on the base of the bulb and they make better, tighter contact. I have only replaced 2 bulbs in over 3 1/2 years of full time use and I use the light constantly.Chip

I think I might go back to the old blurbs, they worked great and Jane really doesn’t like the type of light the LEDs give off.Posted: 6:44 PM – Apr 30, 2014Jim:We have the same year rig as you and Jane, and I suspect we have the same light fixture. In over 2 years of use, all 3 led’s have worked.

Posted: 8:00 PM – Apr 30, 2014Traveler – I replaced a number of the halogen bulbs in my coach. I bought them on-line for less than $1@ I think. I bought enough to replace every bulb once. We do very little boondocking so battery draw is not an issue and I carry a gen too. I can’t justify the extra cost of the LEDs because of that reason. Just my 2 cents worth.Posted: 8:59 PM – Apr 30, 2014Thanks Chip, Rick and John the way we RV we really don’t need them but wanted to give them a try, but I think as I said I will put the old bulbs back in. John a $buck a bulb is a great price, I’m embarrassed to say what I paid.B.W.Gentry
