Lifestyle Quite Air
https://carriage-lifestyle-owners.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3649
Posted: 2:48 PM – Aug 14, 2017On the Lufestyle fivers with rhe quiet air (no ceiling return grill directly under the unit) has anyone removed one of these units. Is the entire installation done from the roof? Does an interior ceiling panel have to be removed?
I have no idea and looking at the a/c manufacturers installation guides, they make no mention of this type of install.
If I get on the roof, I can see where the unit has bolts going into the roof but I don’t know where the actually terminate.
Anyone with any experience with these types of installations. ThanksPosted: 3:50 PM – Aug 14, 2017I can’t be of help, but how where is the return grill located? I haven’t heard of this type of setup.Posted: 4:08 PM – Aug 14, 2017Most the newer fifth wheels and class a have them. There are return grills throughout the ceiling similar to the same principal a home is ducted.
Much much quiiter.Posted: 4:28 PM – Aug 14, 2017I can’t be of specific help but I had a repair guy working on the AC and he told me that to remove and wire these units, all wiring and connections are accessed from the top.Mark
Posted: 4:48 PM – Aug 14, 2017The only access to the unit is from the roof. Inside the coach wash the return filters monthly or more often if dirty.Posted: 5:30 PM – Aug 14, 2017I assumed the entire installation was done from the roof but wasn’t sure. It doesn’t need to be serviced but um concerned about how the unit is fastened to the roof. In conventional ac installs of past, the unit is tightened down from inside. I can see four bolts on the anterior and I’m curious if they go into the aluminum roof frame. If so and not properly caulked, rain could travel through the frame members and find its way into the rear basement???B.W.Gentry
