- have a lifestyle with a mirror on the right side wall of the entry area. Mirror has a trim piece at the bottom that has a shelf and 3 clothes hooks. At top corners are wood plugs for mounting screws, but none at the bottom so i can’t tell how the mirror is held in place other than the 2 top corner screws. None of the screws for the clothes hooks are long enough to be part of the mounting. Anyone help on how these mirrors are mounted??Posted: 7:10 AM – Sep 24, 2014Look behind the hooks on the left and the right.Posted: 10:25 AM – Sep 24, 2014I don’t know what your plans are for this area, but I made it a lot more functional, and kept the mirror, with an IKEA hanging fabric shoe storage area. They sell two versions, one shown in photo, an one that wraps around a real hanger dowel with strong velcro. The latter is a series of hanging fabric boxes that can hold shoes or any light clothing item.
On this model, my wife cut off a bottom row of shoe holders so it does not interfere with the propane sensor. I added an extra brass eyelet at each end so I did not need to move the 5er hanger hooks.
Credit for the concept goes to Chip (I think) who posted a photo of his hand made wooden version.
