- We are leaving for Fort Wilderness Disney World 1/26/13. We were thinking about leaving our camper for the year, and go back a couple times a year, we live N.Y. We love our Cameo 2011 36 FWS, and we don,t want to ruin our unit. Our friends said that the with the humidity, the mold and mildew is uncontrollable! Any feedback would help! Jim,
If you have caps on your vents, and leave both vents 75% open year round when empty you should be fine inside. However, the roof, rear cap, and ALL caulking will be moldy. Roof is easily cleaned, but if mold stays on the caulk for more than 3 months it is almost impossible to remove.

It certainly would be safer than sitting a campground and also you wouldn’t have the climate destruction happening. Chances are it would cost less than the travel back and forth from NY every time you visited (maybe not). Those storage units can be costly. Just a thought.B.W.Gentry
