      I have a 2010 Royals International 36 Max.  It was connected to 120V 20 amp circuit with no problems for some time.  Then one day, i noticed the breaker had tripped in the shore line circuit.  when i tried to reset the fuse, it rapdily tripped the fuse again.  I turned off  all of the circuit breakers in the trailer and disconnected the batteries, and it still shorts out.  I have verified that the short is not in the cord leading to the trailer, but need help in going from this point.  I kind of suspect the transfer switch is the next place to look but do not know where it is. Any help or suggestions welcome.

        I do not know, but guess if the heavy power cables are not obvious in the main storage area, the transfer switch is behind the rear black wall in the main storage area.  Somewhere close to or directly beneath the drop down from the 5er’s circuit breaker box.  If your portable generator plugs in at the rear or close to the shore power input, the transfer switch could be way back there.

        does the house breaker pop with the 5er’s main breaker and all of its circuit breakers off?
        If no, maybe someone turned on an extra circuit overloading the house 20 amp breaker (hot water heater or a circuit that has a small heater plugged into the wall.

        If yes, and not the cable to the 5er, it is likely the transfer switch, but could be bad or melted adapter cable or melted or bad connection where that cable plugs into the 5er.  If not what you see, unscrew from 5er and look at the hidden connections behind that outlet.

          Thanks John – i am pretty sure the short is in the 5er – checked with an ohm meter on the plug of the shore-line cable, and got 0 ohms – also, all circuit breakers are off in the 5er and it still blows fuse.  Are there any devices in the 5er that might draw current even when all breakers are turned off? – will be looking for xfer switch next week if weather clears up – thanks!

            <hr />

            Transfer switch is located below the bedroom stairs. Accessed by removing the side panel in the bay.
