I would use Progressive Dynamics or Southwire Surge Guard for the automatic switch. Both are available from Amazon. I don’t have any experance with your model so I cant help there but would recommend leaving some extra wire to remake connections later, also after 500-1000 miles of travel re-torque the terminals for the wire. Yes, I said torque. You should be using a torque device to tighten each terminal to manufacture specified ratings. Most people just tighten and while that works you don’t know what you are left with. I tend to use torque measurements one electrical and wheels. No fires and no wheels flying off! Be safe.
