- Just throwing this out there I received a notice in the mail today [2 May 2016] in regards to the Norcold Class Action Law suite. Has anyone else received this notice and what action are you taking?..Mine is a 2013 N1095 model and it looks like that is on the list. I haven’t had any issues with my unit yet, short of replacing it, I was just wondering what other people are doing?…..Thanks, RichI just reviewed the class action suit and saw no reason not to join the class. Since I am out of warranty, the 3 year extended warranty was of value. I imagine that the cash value that I will receive is negligible but again, it is found money.
In short, I did not see a down side to accepting the settlement.

2011 F450Not sure if warranty plays any roll in this case….It’s all about safety….I would like to know what the real fix is?…..RichI filed a claim. There is lots of info on this web site and you can file an electronic claim. Deadline is August 26, 2016
https://www.norcoldclassaction.com/home.aspx
Even if 100% of the owners filed I can get 166.00 That will buy a lot of cold beers and better than a sharp stick in the eye……
This is all described on the FAQ page.

I’ve looked at the settlement notice and I can’t find that model anywhere. It covers the 1200 series and the N6 and N8. If you’ve gotten something that says the N10 is included, I’d love to know, because I’ll join as well.

It has an expiration date. Thanks Chip.I didn’t look at the model list. I just figured that N10(95) was neither N6 nor N8. I have filed my claim, and now eagerly await my check for $33.20 (or possibly more). I wonder when the three year warranty starts, my purchase date was 6/24/13. Three years is six weeks away.

2016 Dodge 3500 DRW dieselI’m still wondering what the REAL fix is? The money does not fix the problem..Is this figured in doing business????….RichOnly the attorney will make $ on class action suits. The owners get chump change. Sad to say, it has always been this way.2015 F350; rear airbags; AirSafe 25k hitch

2011 F450So, I’m going to ask the question again….Does anyone know what the REAL fix is? Are we just to assume that you take the money and keep your fingers crossed that nothing will happen? Or are there parts out there to be able to fix the problem or problems?….Any Thoughts?……Richsubframe wrote:So, I’m going to ask the question again….Does anyone know what the REAL fix is? The band-aid fix/recall they supply is a thermal sensor that renders the thing useless if it gets too hot and trips. If the unit has a blue or yellow sticker in the back then it has the thermal sensor. I shouldn’t even throw this out there but It can be reset with a magnet but who wants to reset it if it trips? My solution was to install a residential fridge about 5 years ago and don’t have to worry about the fire issue besides it’s a much better and larger fridge.

I don’t remember the name or price, as I decided it was more than I wanted to spend, and if I had a problem, I’d switch to a residential unit.
I believe it was a different type of controller that would prevent the ammonia from boiling over, and eliminate the fire hazard. That’s all I have now, I’ll try to find more info later. So, there may be a fix, but I don’t think it’s the best solution.

I am having this installed tomorrow on my NOrcold 1200, I chose the one with 2 fans. I’ll post photos and update! Tracy
We just purchased a 2015 LS32FW with that fridge. Do we need to take it to an RV repair to have it checked out? Is it a safety issue? Is the class action still paying out on those units?B.W.Gentry
