I have the 4 door Norcold 1210LRIM Refrigerator in my 2011 FWS. I just purchased this 5er last week and I am learning the ins and outs of it. I tried to run the refrigerator on LP today and it starts beeping with a “No FL.” message. I works fine on AC power. I don’t have a service manual on this so i figured I would ask you all what you have found and point me in the right direction.

        Thank You.

P.S. Yes I do have LP in the tank.

“No fl” is no flame. The burner is not lighting and it times out after 30 seconds.

Page 30 of the Norcold service manual will walk you through diagnosing the problem. The service manual is available in the documents area of the Owners Club.

This is quite common after sitting in storage awhile with tanks turned off. This is the same with the hot water heater if trying to start on propane that has been shut off a while.

Try running a burner on the gas stove. If it does not light immediacy this is the problem. But with the striker in the stove, you can just keep trying, until air is out of the line and gas pressure is at full capacity. But leave the camper door open until it lights!

Also, if you open a tank too fast, especially if a line has not been used for a while, the tank valve will sense a leak and stop flow from the tank. You must turn off the tank, wait a minute, the open the tank very slowly.

This is not a BBQ. You have a long run if 1/2 inch pipe to fill with gas before pressure builds up sufficiently to keep a flame going.

Once the stove is lit, light all 3-4 burners and run for a minute, then turn off all but one. Then try the frig again. Even then it may take two tries. It should not take a 3rd if one burner of the stove is running. The hot water heater may take 3 times because it is downstream of the stove.

After everything is operational, turn off the propane hot water heater. Then go outside and sniff around the opening for the smell of gas. Sometimes the solenoid valves leak when not used. Upon thought, wasps and other bugs love the cavities of the frig, hot water heater and furnace. You might want to open those outside access panels to be sure there is not an active or abandoned best in there. Keep wasp spray handy when you open them.

Be sure the silicone caulk is good at the bottom covering the pan to wall components to ensure that water that gets in gets out, not into the wall material.. The frig generates (drips) water out the back all the time! If you find water in your frig or the drain pan inside freezes, there is a small nozzle at the end of the hose that sometimes gets plugged. Or if it has no such nozzle, bugs go up the hose and plug it up. That is a little tougher to clean out.

I’m not sure how to find this, could you provide me a link to the thread?

Thank you for all the info. I had planned to go and weigh the unit today. But, during the course of the day, The generator cycled down after an hour and the onan switch blinked 3 times indicating service required. It had done that yesterday.

I went to adjust a wheel bearing that had a little play in it, and discovered that the brakes were saturated in bearing grease because some “foolish mechanic,” (I mean something else, but not sure what the rules are regarding certain words) pounded the seal in crooked. This led me to discover that 2 other brakes were saturated. So that explains why the brakes weren’t working so well.

I also discovered that the big foot leveling system will not retract properly. I contacted Big Foot and “Jim” was very helpful. There may be an issue with the control panel.

So after all that I just took it down to a place that works on generators and other equipment. I was just going to get some parts from them, but I decided to just let them handle that one on.

But when I get it back, I’m going to try your suggestions for the Burners. (Which the burners do work).

        Thanks for all the help

Well I did what you said with the burners, and it worked. Thank you. One more thing off my list.
