I have a 2005 36KSQ carri- lite. I spend 5 to 6 months 3 wks at a time in and rv space I own so it is always plugged in to 50 amps. Are 2 6volt better than 2 12 volt or is one 12 sufficient. Or is there better options.
        Thanks,
        mikejm

If you’re always plugged in, one 12v should be fine. When you’re moving, the battery is important for the electric brakes, especially if the coach ever separates from the truck.

My first 5er had one 12v battery.

I use two Interstate deep cycle batteries and have never had a problem with the landing gear or slides not moving steady. When I traded my old cameo for the one I have now I took my two batteries with me. Four years and still strong.

My came with 3 12 volt batteries. I thought that was strange, most battery set-ups I have seen are always 1-12 volt or 2 6-volt or 4 6-volt. Anyone else have 3 in there lifestyle?

I believe the residential fridge options give your 3, 12 volt AGM’s.

My rig has 3 big group 24 12 volt AGM batteries because of the big residential refrigerator & the associated inverter. My question is how long do those batteries last & when should I think about replacing them. We don’t dry camp & the rig is always plugged into shore power unless towing.

We have 4, 6 volt AGM’s installed in the spring of 2012. They are working just fine. Full charge maintained with solar panels and when plugged in with our Magnum inverter/charger. I hope they last as long as my old lead acid batteries did (about 7 yrs).

It is not the best to keep the batteries connected with the trailer on shore power and the converter running into the batteries 24/7.
