Hello everyone.  DW is interested in purchasing a dishwasher and wanted to know if those who have one think they are worth it.  At this time I am the dishwasher and would also like the decrease in jobs.  We have a 2015 LS38rs and I believe the dishwasher can be installed in the kitchen island where the sink is located.  Does anyone have one in this location and  is the noise an issue with the TV and living room in close proximity.  Has anyone done the installation themselves?  I hate plumbing but can’t imagine that it would be that difficult.
Thanks for any input and information.

Paper plates.  Cradle to grave a lot more eco friendly than a dishwasher.

We do not miss the dishwasher.  Being retired and just the 2 of us we don’t create that many dishes anyway.  We both use Yeti tumblers and we go from coffee to a ice tea or soda with a simple rinse.  We also use foam plates for smaller meals.  We do not carry that many dishes that we could afford to wait until the dishwasher was filled up so for us, washing the dishes by hand is not an onerous task. I know this is not answering your question but I just wanted to add my thoughts.

Thanks for each of your thoughts.  We have been discussing the value of a dishwasher and you have addressed our thoughts on this as well.  May hold off for now.  Safe Travels!
