        With disgust, I come to tell ANOTHER severe water flooding issue on my 3 month old coach. We have the residential fridge, the ice maker control valve located in the belly of the rig was missing the pop top. The mobile repair installed a new valve and checked for leaks, all ok. The next morning we left around 11ish and we were gone for about 3.5 hours. When we returned, wife went to get a pan from the kitchen lower cabinet. She SCREAMED, OMG we have lots of water!!!!! I quickly turned the water supply off, the cabinets had standing water, the floor, the full length of the kitchen slide had standing water, including the living room carpet. Water was pouring out the slides and belly. I lifted the coach on the opposite side to assist in draining. The culprit was a brass union located behind the stove, it had completely disconnected and allowed the water to flow unchecked. I called a disaster service and they arrived quickly to assess the situation. They placed 4 commercial fans, 2 underbelly, 2 inside coach and a very large dehumidifier inside coach. This has done a good job of drying the coach wet areas. The down side is, its very warm inside the coach with this equip. running. The inside temp climbs to 83 deg. during the day, with the air trying to keep up. We have had to sleep with our two dogs in this environment. It is spring break here in Florida, so no hotel rooms available.

        Now that the drying out process has begun, the wood flooring is starting to buckle. The insulation had to be removed from the underbelly too. We are so defeated by all of these issues. The truth of the matter is, all of the problems created were by humans assembling the coach. The plumbing installer could have placed that union in the drawer bank so it could be checked for tightness. He chose to put it behind the stove, requiring the removal of the stove to check. I hope and pray Lifestyle does right by us, we’ve endured alot for and with them.

        How disheartening. It seems odd that there would be any union in the line. In my years of building, it was standard practice to use as few connections as possible. This applies to plumbing and electrical. The fewer the connection points the fewer chances for a problem. Best of luck working with Lifestyle. Let us all know how this gets resolved.

        That is my philosophy as well. Also, a person that gave a crap about their job would have moved the union over less than 1 foot into the drawer bank. That way the union could be checked periodically for tightness without removing the oven/stove.

        You’re right, you wouldn’t think a company such as LS would need that direction but its painfully obvious they do not know.

        It’s amazing the number of incompetent workers in the RV industry. We all pay for it one way or another, with down time, waiting on warrenty aproval, waiting for parts to ship, wrong parts shipped.
        Mean while, you have limited use or can’t use your RV untill repairs are done and your exspenses of owning one keeps going on.

        I just spoke with Rod, he said that the flooring does need to be replaced. We’re working on a solution to make that happen on our route home to MI.

        Sorry for the delay, the water line was repaired in may on our return to Michigan. The culprit appeared to be the technician didn’t push the line deep enough into the fitting causing the pressure to spit it out. They weren’t prepared to repair the floor at the repair shop. We asked if they could do it on our route back to Fl???

        Wow, how disheartening ! I have just traded my Cameo for a new 2014 ls34SB and this raises a question in my mind. Were you using a pressure regulator ?
        And if so what kind of pressure do you set it for ? Is there an internal regulator in these coaches ? I am thinking that I will hookup to city water while my trailer is sitting at home and raise the pressure to about 60 lbs. and let it sit for awhile just to check the system. No one wants a leek but it would be better it happened at home than on the road somewhere. I normally ran my pressure at 55 lbs in the cameo with no issues.

        GM, yes there is an internal pressure regulator installed on my coach at the water inlet. This too had developed a leak and soaked the insulation requiring a repair!!! Just keep an eye on it. I check mine by sliding the door back in the basement and looking behind the inlet.

        WOW, this seems to be taking a LONG TIME to get this resolved. 6 months from your first post. This is one of my biggest concerns going full time with this unit over a DRV.

        As a result of the Ice Maker Line Burst, the Wood floor is replaced, it looks nice and we’re satisfied. Thank you Rod Batts.

        We saw a situation almost exact to yours last winter in Tucson but it was on a motorhome. They had to have flooring etc etc. replaced also. I suggested to them they get several water alarms like I have in my Carriage and my home. You can find these at almost any hardware store. I have had mine go off twice in my house and alerted me to leaking water. Worth $15 apiece?
