Wondering if anyone has hardwired one in?
Where did you mount the remote?
AC panel is in the bathroom, shore power inlet is at the rear roadside corner, I’ve got my ideas but looking for other ideas on locations.
        Thanks, Jim

        Good Morning Jim,
Check out my pix of my hard-wired installation of the Progressive Industries Power Management System and remote at this link from the “other” site. Phillip

        Thanks for the link!
Thats pretty much what I have in mind for the unit location, but I would like to put the remote in the control panel over the entry door. Is there a dedicated wire run by the entry door?

The Progressiv unit came with a short data cable. It looks like a phone line but it is not the same thing. You can turn most phone lines into data lines but cutting off ONE end of the cable and rotating the plug 180 degree and crimping it back on. You can get a tool at the big box hardware stores for about $10 in order to do this.
I simply ran the cable through the rear trunk/basement of the rig, drilled a small hole in the step well (totally undetectable), ran the cable behind the door molding, and then up into the monitor area. Overall, it was a pretty easy job and I love having the hard wired unit. Let me know if I can be any of any other help. Phillip

I hard wired mine in last year. I do not have the one with the remote. I raised the fuse box so I could mount the unit below it. I did have to do some modifications, and purchase some wire at Lowes. It was very difficult to install in the cold temperatures as I had to heat the wire to get it to bend. The install was made without cutting any existing cable, so I could remove it if needed. I will send some pics as soon as I can. Perhaps next week end.

By the way it works great.

Good point about cutting the wire. I did not cut our original shore power wire either. I simply disconnected it from the shore power plug and connected it to the Progressive unit. Then I got an 18″ piece of wire to go from the shore power plug and into the other end of the Progressive unit. By doing this, I can easily reconnect the original wire back to the shore plug. When I installed mine, I put in place of the transfer switch that was included in the generator prep package. Did not have to cut any wires, just undo and reconnect the ones from the shore power plug to the surge guard and left the ones from the generator connection loose. Installed the remote panel where the generator start panel was and left it in the wall. Thought I took some pictures, but can’t find them if I did.

I installed ours as per Phillip having picked up a 50 amp drier cord from a surplus store. The dealer installed our solar panel controller in place of the generator start panel, so fed the wire up from the basement vent and mounted near the two rear loungers. I may get a cable made and run up to the side of the entertainment centre where my Magnum inverter/charger remote panel is located.

In the 35SB3, there is plenty of room in the electrical control panel cabinet in the hallway. To the right of the circuit panel is a piece of paneling covering the right side of the cabinet and it is basically empty back there. I installed the 50C there and mounted the monitor to that piece of paneling. Now, when I open the door, I have access to the electrical circuits and can easily see the monitor. The benefit is that I don’t have to see the annoying flashing when I don’t want to or at night when sleeping. Just close the cabinet door.

So today I finished the install of my 50 amp hardwire progressive industries surge protector with remote reader. my question the book says it comes from the factory set at 15 second time delay but you can remove jumper and set at 136 seconds should I remove it for the a/c and if so the picture is not very clear of the jumper can anyone help

I left ours at the default setting and we have two A/C units, and no issues with A/C starting, should that be the reason for changing the delay

        JohnR,
I had the long delay and switched it back, well because it was too long for me. Here is a pic of the jumper in the circled yellow area. Pull tab up and shift left onto exposed pin.

Thank you all for the help I think I will try it on the short delay and see how it works
