- Cameo 37cksls: Quadra Rv Bigfoot leveling is popping.
Mostly during the heat of the day into the evening and some in am.
Some times it’s caused by movement most times it’s not.
Also it’s been acting up far as leveling.
I have contacted the company they haven’t contacted me.
Summer of 2015 I stopped by there factory. Very helpful
all they did was reprogram past years they have sent me
the electronic leveling instruments(the name slips me).
I have checked level of camper most of the time it’s low in the front
with more lower to front driver side some times it’s level and control
panel says it’s not I have reprogrammed it no help.
After all that back jackets pop more than front does it some.
We are mostly in the living room when where home maybe front pops more.
I have some wooden blocks under feet heard this helped think I need
the thicker more like 4 inch wood blocks.
Thanks for your help. DonPosted: 12:30 PM – Mar 15, 2016Ours will do it also. Then not again for a long time. I use blocks as you do, to keep the extension as short as possible. Sometimes running the jacks out and then back in a time or two helps.Posted: 1:51 PM – Mar 15, 2016Mine does it a lot bugs DW, me not so much.Posted: 1:08 AM – Mar 16, 2016Rumager,
My Bigfoot pops occasionally, but only from one jack. It seems to happen as it warms in the morning or cools in the evening. I think it may have to do with air bubbles in the fluid as it expands and contracts.
As for the leveling issues. Mine does that as well. From talking to Quadra, the liquid in the sensor takes a while to settle. I put two small bubble levels in the Bigfoot compartment so I can adjust it at setup. After about an hour or so, the liquid settles and the control panel shows correct level.

Don,I would check the fluid levels on each pump. The fluid level should be about 3/4″ from the top of the tank. If all the fluid is good and not a pinkish color. Extend each jack to the ground, then extend the jacks to their full extent allowing the pump to groan a little bit. Let it sit with the jacks fully extended for about 35 minutes. After that it sounds like it could be reprogrammed as-well. Hope this helps. Thanks,
Posted: 3:32 PM – Mar 16, 2016I do not want to hijack the thread, however, I’d like to add two things from my experience with the Big Foot system.
1st, do NOT make the mistake I did on my Cameo by filling the jack reservoirs with the jacks down/extended. BIG MESS!
2nd, and I know this has been discussed: Since I added the secondary power switch to the Big Foot panel on my Lifestyle, it has leveled perfectly with every use without delay or stalling around prior to leveling upon arrival. I first flip on the “new” power switch, wait for the Big Foot panel to illuminate and go out, then power up the Big Foot panel power switch. I do the exact reverse when powering off the jacks. This has never failed me since installing. I’m so glad because I could never rely on the advertised convenience of the auto level.
Prior to installing the switch, I got the coach as perfectly level as possible and installed 2 bubble sight levels just inside the Big Foot control panel. I have not had to rely on them since but glad to have them just in case.Posted: 8:12 AM – Mar 17, 2016While I do not have a bigfoot leveling system I have been told by Lippert to drain half my hydraulic fluid out and top it off with Caterpillar hydraulic fluid as it does not expand and contract with temperature change.Posted: 8:30 AM – Mar 17, 2016Explain more please what you did. Its a switch you power BF it off right. Where do you install it. I guess power going to panel. Sounds interesting. I did part what BF told me to one or 2 pops. I found in manuel I couldn’t extend back Jack. I did extend front ones as far as they said. Seemed to help.
Have you posted this b4. Thanks every one 4 replies[jdpm wrote:I do not want to hijack the thread, however, I’d like to add two things from my experience with the Big Foot system.
