Does anyone know why the long pipe from the middle of our 5th wheel to the rear just forward of the wheels does not end at the outlet of the tanks? I see the rationale of draining effect but it is 100% the reason for the weakening of the tank in the 3in pipe connection area.

I am thinking of shortening this and putting the Drainmaster Camlock connector closer to the tank.

Also, after putting the Drainmaster hose assembly in the Carriage built-in holder, it wont come back out. Again assuming it is caught on a lip somewhere but all thew wiggling in the world, so far has not budged…GRIN.

The Drainmaster Pro-Series electronic waste valve install went perfectly, and the new SINGLE switches fit in the existing cutouts. Only difficulty was getting the wiring from the wet bay area to the drain valves. Had to cut the ends off the old wires and pull the new cables through the fiberglass insulation filling the lower area, and an extra pair of 10 gauge power (+ and -). A little overkill but they say every extra millivolt helps with drain valves.

Now to build an ABS cover for the whole area exposed by the missing cover. The cover is because the Carri-Lite is an all-weather unit for the tanks and valves are in the heated area.

Does anyone have a picture of this cover? I can see it has a 2in lip, 4in from the lip to the bottom and 16in across to the middle row of screw attachments into the ABS cover. I will add an extra 2 in in width so 38in total wide.

        Jack,

I think the rationale may have been that a driver can see the front 5er wheel in the side view mirror and can thus pull up to the sewer dump station etc knowing they won’t need 2 flexible drain pipes to get there.

In several campgrounds it seems a delicate balance of having long enough on board wires/hoses to reach both where the power pedestal is versus the sewer dump.

        but only a guess

            DP,

that cover “covers” where pipe exits the tank. Folks have been asking why just outside that cover Carriage put a 90 degree bend and then a 4-foot extension that is poorly attached to the 5er. Without a bit of improvising there is not much solid in the immediate vicinity to create a firm attachment – but it has been done.

THANK YOU for the Pic!!! Made my day…  I have been trying to get that bend in the Abs and it has not been working well with the pipe heater I have
