Refrigerator Cooling Issue
https://carriage-lifestyle-owners.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3646
Posted: 2:06 AM – Aug 14, 2017I have the 4 door Norcold 1210LRIM Refrigerator in my 2011 36FWS
So I have looked through a lot of the topics, it sounds like these have common problems. Most seem to buy a new residential unit. I would like to stay with the LP/ AC option, so I don’t want to get rid of it.
So here is what I have going on.
The Fridge only cools to about 42 degrees F on setting 9. Whether on LP or AC. The freezer only drops down to 21 degree and if I run the ice maker it raises to 34 degrees. The Ice stays wet. And after a month of use, the freezer had a 1/4″ layer of ice.
I defrosted the freezer, and the fridge is trying to c0me back down to those temperatures again.
It takes 3 days to freeze a water bottle. The fridge doesn’t run all the time, it cycles like normal. I would just expect it to be running all the time to bring it down to temp. So I don’t know if it is a sensor issue? or a moisture issue?
So, what do i do?
Do these have an automatic defrost?
Posted: 7:06 AM – Aug 14, 2017I had a 4 door 1200 in my rig prior to changing it out to a residential. Be sure you check the way it is installed compared to the diagrams in the Norcold installation manual. The manual is very specific about the way the baffle are installed fins around the cooling fins on the rear. In n my case, the fins were covered all the way up to the top with the baffle.
Also, make sure the cooling fans are functioning properly.
Installation specifics are very important to proper cooling.
