My vent cover over the bathroom is cracked and will surely get worse.
I’ve never had to replace a vent cover. Does mine use a standard size? Any recommendation on which brand/type to purchase?

I used the replacement cover available at camping world. Sorry, but I don’t recall the specifics. It is a standard size, although there are a couple different sizes. The box it came in had fitment information to tell you which one to buy. It is a very quick replacement and the replacement cover is much heavier and should last a lot longer. My OEM cover disintegrated in my hands when I replaced it.

There is a YouTube video on this subject in the “Owner Club” but I unable to get into that section of the site this morning. If you’re a member give it a try.

        Jim:

If it is the opening vent in the shower room, we replaced our OEM with a Fantastic exhaust fan, and used a MaxxAirII cover over the top of it

We also added a Max Aire cover. We still have the standard “F.Fan” and it works just fine with the cover and stops UV damage to the original cover.

If it is a “fantastic fan” roof vent cover they will send you a free replacement. Just call them. I would cover it with a max air cover and then it is protected and can be left open in any kind of weather.

I understand that Fan-Tastic fan is not as generous now that they have been sold, I believe to Lippert. Before they were sold we stopped by their plant in Michigan to get a replacement part. Not only didn’t they charge us for the part they came out to our MH installed the part and upgraded the fan.

I was offered a free replacement back in September but things may have changed since then.

Two years ago Fantastic fan sent me a new cover, no charge.

I had to replace my whole Fantastic fan. Hit it on a low overhang. I called the factory and did not get a good warm and fussy feeling. They could not help me because I did not know the model number. In the end the folks at Lifestyle helped me out.

I have a list of the major components installed on my 5th Wheel that was provided by the manufacture. The people at Fantastic fan produce thousands of parts for many, many end users of their products. We have to provide a starting point for them to help; in your case they needed a model or part number. A hundred years ago when I started out as a young engineer, you did not have to know the name of the product, but a part number/model number would open up a world of information. Lifestyle will know what part that goes on each unit. Good to hear you did get help.
