Rough in for bedroom ac

My cameo 2009 35 footer has the rough in for second ac apparently

I can see that a 20 amp breaker labeled in panel was installed.

In the bedroom there is a small pedal shaped item screwed into ceiling to the left of the existing ac duct outlet in ceiling

My question is did the wiring get installed for another ac and if so is that the location ?

There is no vent or other outlet in the bedroom

Any advice on models of acs or info on this would be helpful

I have a 2010 Cameo 32FWS and just installed my second ac in the bedroom. The rosette in the ceiling is the center of the opening for the ac.  The wiring is already there and connected to the breaker you mentioned early.  It’s an easy install except for getting the unit on the roof.   I didn’t have help so it was interesting.  Pat

Not certain if a 2009 is factory prep for ducted, but 2010 built in September 2009 was.

The basic ac unit is the same, so either will work in a ducted system.  A non ducted has a manual thermostat and control knobs on the faceplate on the ceiling; the ducted faceplate does not.  A non ducted faceplate will send cool air into the ducts (if factory ducted prep) in you close the lovers shooting down to the bed.

I chose 1 thermostat to control both ac units so I ran low voltage wires between both units, and a different temperature sensor wire to the front wall of the bedroom out of the airflow from ducts.  I did the latter by fishing the temperature sensor wires through the ductwork.  I removed the grill from the most forward ceiling duct on the curb side, grabbed the wire. And ran that white wire across my white ceiling before entering the wood trim around the forward closet.  Dropped a bit down and over to come back out of the trim from within the closet to mount the temp sensor about shoulder height.  If you just want a simple one thermostat for each ac unit, this is where I would put it.

wire between the 2 units was all via duct, but did temporarily open a few grills to get there.  Final connection was from main unit to new central thermostat to control both units, went forward through duct on curb side to pop out from the last grill above the stairs.  A short run of white wire angled across  white ceiling and into the trim/wall cavity with  no intervening studs to where I wanted to mount the thermostat, again about shoulder height.

when reading or watching tv I leave the main unit off and the a/c noise is in the bedroom.  Unless it is really hot, then I run the bedroom on high and the main on low speed if that is sufficient. Both of my units are now BriskII.

I installed a non ducted unit as the duct work in the ceiling wasn’t run to the cutout. The controls are on the unit.  I don’t use it very much because I don’t like camping in heat over 100.  But when I get caught in high heat the second ac is a must.   Pat

What was the make/model AC that you installed?  Like you I don’t like camping in 100+heat but you can’t always have that.  I like the idea of the controls on the unit for when you need it.

Well,  I did not get the unit I wanted because of of supply chain issue during vivid.  So my choices were limited.   I wanted a low profile unit like the one that came with the rig.  I ended up with the Coleman Mach 10 low profile.   It got decent ratings and it makes the bedroom an ice box when turned on.  I think it is a 13.5 size unit.  Pat
