Second factory awning Cameo 37re3

There is a second 12V plug and a fabric channel on the slideout on the same side with the main awning. I am assuming its a factory prep for a second awning. Does anyone know if the wiring is left loose inside the wall somewhere close by the main awning electrical control unit ?

If so, I could get a second Carefree awning for the slide and hopefully be plug and play. Those windows get a lot of sun exposure and would help keep the temp down considerably.

Hi Mister T,

yes you are correct…… it is extra awning prep done at the factory……. the wiring to connect a new awning control switch should be in the wall cavity where your existing main awning switch is. As with my unit, it came with an extra plug to connect up another awning.

extra wire is there as mentioned, but you may need to search for it because it may have fallen down during travels .

Better yet:

on this latter site you can watch video that explains the different shape of the totally blue connector versus the grey wall/blue&grey plug that goes on end of new awning.  Unless you change both ends, you need the grey/grey&blue set it parts.
