I was wondering what the weight capacity for the bedroom slide is? I am thinking about extending the closet (and moving the bed near the front cap since the cabinets are so shallow). Clothes can be very heavy. I am not too worried about sliding in and out since I will be stationary. I am mostly worried about torque/stress and causing extra sway.

I have searched the forum and the internet and can not find any specific information. I also couldn’t find a picture of the slide outs for the bedroom on the chassis. I have attached a picture of my bedroom slide which is on several models. Thank you for your expertise!

        Ally,

Are you thinking about moving the bed forward the 6-8 inches of the narrow cabinet, removing that cabinet and the similar cabinet on the fear side of the bed, then enlarging the clothes cabinet by the 12-16 inches now taken up with cabinets?I would say zero problem with that.

If you are thinking about rotating the bed 90 degrees, and using all of the slide wall for a cabinet, I don’t think that would work.  There are rollers under the bed and weight of the bed to cantilever the weight in the slide out past the rollers along the outer wall of the 5er.  The weight with the slide in going down the road would be a much bigger problem than when the slide is out.

        My 2 cents.  Good luck.
