Does anybody know the supplier of the hard plastic shell that sits beneath the holding tanks and insulation on the underbelly?

IIRC it is called Coroplast (corrugated plastic, get it?). You could Google it or stop by your nearest RV dealership to see if they’d sell you what you need. I had zero luck finding a local supplier for the large sheets.

Thanks for the reply but Coroplast is a sheet and what was under there was actually a 2 piece hard shelled pan. I’d like to get the same back on there but may have to go with the Coroplast.

I got the following information out of our Doc’s & Files Section for Vendors, Parts, & Suppliers List. This company made a lot of the holding tanks for Carriage and they may have well made the belly pans. If not, they may know who did.

        Holding Tanks Ameri-Kart 17196 Indiana 120, Bristol, IN 46507 Phone: 800-232-0847 – (574) 848-7462 URL: http://www.ameri-kart.com/RV-Products/P … Tanks.aspx Email: http://www.ameri-kart.com/contact/contact.asp

If you don’t have any luck locating the cover you might consider making a new two piece cover out of some sheet aluminum. It can be found in 4×8 and 5×10 sheets in various thicknesses and easy to cut and bend. You can lay it out and cut it like a cardboard box and do the bends by clamping a 2×4 to it for a make shift brake. If mine were to break I will fab up a new one out of aluminum and get a local welder to weld the corners for me. Should last a long time. I made a take apart cover for my air hitch out of some diamond plate aluminum in no time. I purchased a 4×8 sheet from a local metal supply.

Update: We don’t know how some companies stay in business with the poor customer service that they have. It has been an interesting 3 days trying to find the 2-piece pan beneath the holding tanks on the underbelly of our Lifestyle RV. Multiple phone calls with multiple voicemails left resulted in 1, and I mean only ONE callback. Kudos to Cindy at a Florida La Mesa dealership for that callback. Doesn’t anybody answer their phones anymore?

When I was able to talk to a live person I got mostly negatives on the pan, but some gave me some other places to check. It all came together when I talked with Crystal in Parts at Tiara RV in Elkhart Indiana which is a superstar in old Carriages and Lifestyles. When Carriage and Lifestyle went out of business they bought what inventory they could and still have some on hand now. Unfortunately they did not have the 2-piece pan that we needed.

Here is what we have been able to piece together. We think that the pan was made by Ameri-Kart which made the holding tanks. Ameri-Kart is so busy with the RV manufacturers business that they don’t have time for the one time purchases and has a minimum order of 10 for any part. That is why Tiara RV is having trouble working with Ameri-Kart. Crystal from Tiara RV did say that some owners have had a custom plastic pan made and on one of the Carriage/Lifestyle forums the suggestion was made to make it out of sheet aluminum.

Turns out Carriage and Lifestyle were one of few, if not the only one, that used a hard body 2-piece pan. One of the suggestions on the Carriage/Lifestyle forums was to use a corrugated plastic trade name Coroplast.

This material is readily available in the Albuquerque, and a lot cheaper than a custom ordered pan. In fact it is used as the underbelly on most of the RVs being built. The mobile tech will be out next week to look over the job including the straps for the holding tanks that were never installed from the beginning.

How about a plastic containment basin.

As to the tanks we found a 62 gal tank (Part #4257) made by Elkhart Plastics matched the dimension of the tank in our 2011 34SB3. A left hand outlet.

The grey water tank is identical except with a right hand outlet….don’t know if Elkhart makes that one.
