Ok got out last Monday and set up are Cameo for the summer. Had a few cold nights and had to have heat. I have the heat pump. Put it on heat setting at 66 and the heat pump came on for a few and then the furnace, but it goes up to 75 before it cuts off. It works well on the furnace setting just the heat pump setting. It’s works great when the heat pump is on but when it switches over to furnace it will burn you up. Any one have this problem?????

once the ambient air temp gets down to about 43 or 44 degrees the heat pump will no longer work, and will automaticaly switch over to the furnace which I think is pre-set at 77 degrees from the factory.

Our furnace/heat pump set up is the same as described above, with the exception that our furnace is also controlled by the heat pump thermostat. I’ve not actually put a thermometer to it, but it seems once the furnace kicks in due to low outside ambient temp., it sure seems to make it warmer in here than we like. It does seem to overshoot the set temp, or at least feels like it does.

Thanks for your input. Now my Carrier air/heat pump has quit altogether and they have gone out of business and we can not find parts to fit the unit. New heat pump on order.
