Hi everyone. Not sure if it’s my imagination or not, but this forum doesn’t seem to be as active as it used to be. Rich

The login lag time is gone but there is still some lag in the forum.

Hi all-
Don’t know if this has already been covered before, but the links in my email digest messages have always been broken too – I consistently get “Oops! That page can’t be found”.
Sorry for more bad news heaped on all the other stuff – please don’t get discouraged, this is a great forum!

John, When you follow those email links directly to that link without being logged in, you’ll get that message. Just be sure you’re logged in prior to clicking the link. Thanks

KeymasterThank you, Ladies and Gentlemen. I can’t express how much of a relief this is off of my tiny brain. I and we have been struggling with this for quite some time. I’m still tweaking and slimming & trimming, so hopefully it’ll get even better. Thank you all for hanging in there, I know it’s been very frustrating for everyone.
A grateful B.W.

Excellent! I love this forum and its wonderfully helpful members. I have been trying to make some post just for “practice”. I think if others would do the same it may help everyone to get better acquainted with the changes from the former format. Eventually, I’m remaining confident! I have such piece of mind knowing that there is so much valuable info here. Thanks BW for all you do. I very much appreciate you. Phil

OK, I fixed it.
Background: I’m on IOS iPhone, reading email with the gmail app. The gmail default is to open these links directly in gmail rather than sending the link over to a browser. And there doesn’t seem to be a way to “log in” within gmail without a bunch of arm waving.
But I discovered an option in gmail which DOES send the link to a browser app; instructions here: https://www.addictivetips.com/ios/select-browser-gmail-opens-links-in-iphone/
So I configured it to send links to the Chrome browser (my browser of choice). As long as Chrome is already open with at least one tab logged in, it works
Thanks!

John – jlaplanteJust an F.Y.I. If you happen to experience a little slowness the next few days, its because I’m doing some heavy work on the backend still Slimming & Trimming everything. Redoing a lot of the site pages and decreasing the amount of data contained in them and eliminating a lot of graphics and images. So, I’m using a lot of the resources of the hosting server which results in a little slowness. I assure you, when I’m done, it will be even better. I hope to be done in 2 to 3 days. There wasn’t a Newsletter last week and will not be one this week as my time is so consumed with these repairs. Thank you ALL for your patience and understanding. B.W. ( A grateful Admin )
