I have a 2011 Cameo 36FWS and recently have heard a “beeping” sound, like an electronic warning, coming from the front compartment. The source of the beeping cannot be traced to determine what I need to do to stop it. We are located in East Texas and recently experienced a week if power outage and had to buy a generator to survive. Could this have somehow caused the beeping to start.

The most forward storage – do not know.
My guess is the throw away every 4.5 to 5 year propane leak/CO detector on the lower wall on the right as you enter the 5er.
It beeps randomly and very infrequently at first weakening of protection. Then the pace picks up after about a month of random beeping. Surprisingly I can hear louder in main storage than in occupied space.Take it off the wall (2 screws), cut one lead. If the beeping stops, this is it. Tape both leads if you do not have a replacement as bot will carry 12-volt current unless you totally remove the CO monitor, then just tape the hot lead.

KeymasterThe propane leak/CO detector was my first thought as well. I too am not sure about beeping from the front storage compartment. Mine started beeping a little over a year ago on my 2011 32FWs, it had never been replace until I did it then. It is suggested to replace the detector every 5 years.

Possibly your converter/charger? Mineis in the front compartment and beeps if there is a malfunction or if the battery charge gets too low. Just a thought.
I, too, first thought of the CO/Prop leak detector, but it sounds like you’ve already covered that possibility.
good luck. Please post the outcome. I’d like to know what it is too.

As far as the CO detector, you can just pull the 12v fuse located in the front compartment. I suspect it is the converter also. Try disconnecting all power to it and let it set for half an hour, then hook it back up. Might reset it. I’m sure it’s not the original one (I’m on my 4th), so depending on which one it is, there are different features. Let us know what you find.
Any chance a previous owner stuck a smoke detector in the compartment?

Can anyone tell me the part number/brand for the Carbon Monoxide sensor/alarm. Mine is missing the guy who sold it to me said he got tired of it beeping and just took it out. I bought a pair of carbon monoxide/smoke alarms from costco to use instead. Thanks.

If you Google search “RV CO Detector” you’ll get several. I’m not sure which model but there are several and several combinati0ns. It should be $50-$125. They have a 4-6 year life and then have to be replaced or they BEEP!

This is the last one I purchased, for my 2009 (April 2008 manufacture date) It was during covid and I search EVERYWHERE to find one that fit in the existing cut-out. The trim ring resolved the issue for me. It is a CO and Propane alert unit.
