- Has anyone measured their GMP at the kitchen sink and shower? My readings to draw one gallon of water at a regulated pressure of 40 PSI are as Follows:
Kitchen faucet cold – 1 min 1.47 sec
Kitchen faucet hot and cold both on – 57.69 sec
Shower both hot and cold on full – 56.65 sec
Thanks in advance for your input.
ChuckPosted: 3:34 PM – Oct 09, 2016I think I may have solved my problem. I removed kitchen faucet aerator and screen. In the shower I removed the water saver in the shower wand and drilled out the restriction in the shower faucet body. My new readings are as follows:To draw one gallon of water at a regulated input pressure of 40 PSI
Kitchen faucet cold – 36.38 seconds
Kitchen faucet hot and cold together – 26.09 seconds
Shower hot and cold on full – 40.73 seconds
I believe water volume to the shower wand is restricted somewhat by the very small inside diameter of the long flex hose connected from the faucet to the shower wand.
I am still looking for any suggestions you may have.
ChuckPosted: 5:47 PM – Oct 09, 2016I use a standard residential water pressure regulator, which I set at 50 psi. I have the same type of shower hose, as you, and my flow restriction insert, in the shower head, has been removed. I get very good pressure and flow. I’m guessing, 1 gallon in about 15-20 seconds. My experience with pre-set RV type pressure regulators has not been good.Posted: 7:23 PM – Oct 09, 2016I installed an oxygenics low flow 1.5 gpm shower head. Excellent shower- you can’t tell it’s low flow. Kitchen and bath sinks both came installed with 1.25 gpm. Kitchen has a push button head to switch between shower and normal stream. This is also an excellent fixture and you can’t tell it’s low flow. Bathroom is not super strong, but it’s ok. We try to conserve water so we’re happy with this set up. Definitely recommend the oxygenics shower head – much better than the one that came with the coach.Posted: 11:09 AM – Oct 10, 2016FaithBowls wrote:Definitely recommend the oxygenics shower head – much better than the one that came with the coach.X 2
Posted: 2:04 PM – Oct 10, 2016How does that shower head work when you’re not in a campground and are using the pump?Posted: 2:20 PM – Oct 10, 2016All of our water works well on pump or city water. The pressure on city water is slightly stronger but barely noticeable.
